Our Fall Lineup Starts October 2, 2021
Oct. 2, 2021 – Sweet Alibi / Mike Plume
November 6 , 2021- Diyet & The Love Soldiers / Jack Semple
Diyet & The Love Soldiers
Born in a tent, raised in a cabin on the shores of a glacial lake in the Kluane region of Canada’s Yukon Territory, Diyet embodies her Southern Tutchone, Japanese, Tlingit and Scottish roots with a musical presence that is equally diverse and unique.
Diyet is Alternative Folk, Roots, Country and Traditional Aboriginal with melodies and stories deeply rooted in her Indigenous world view and northern life. Her songs are an interpretation of a northern reality: hard, raw and will break you if it can but at the same time, always beautiful, gentle, strange and intensely alive. She performs as a trio, Diyet & the Love Soldiers, with husband and collaborator, Robert van Lieshout on guitar and foot percussion and multi- instrumentalist, Bob Hamilton. Continuing to live with feet firmly planted in two worlds, Diyet’s adventurous and sometimes chaotic life is on full display in her music.
Audio: Brave Face, Brighter Day
Diyet often says, “yesterday, fishing for our dinner on the ice, the next day, on the stage singing for you!”
Semple writes and performs “Modern Blues” and folk without forgetting where he came from. He is an epic guitarist and a soulful singer. His music is like Stevie Ray Vaughn meets James Brown meets Robben Ford.
Semple has been twice nominated for a Gemini Award and has won a Juno award and two Western Canadian music awards.
He continues to perform as a solo artist and with The Jack Semple Band, across Canada; and now being championed across America!
“Semple played with the fire and abandon that he is known for…” (from the Vault)
Emily Triggs is a bred-in-the-bones roots musician. In her debut album When Guinevere Went Under, the guitarist, singer-songwriter takes you on a journey through influences and experiences that have shaped her folk/roots sound.
As a songwriter, her philosophy is simple: all of life’s experiences, for better or worse, can be mined for the raw materials of a good song – hence her mantra of “no regrets”. She is an observer of the world around us.
Emily shares stories through her songs with an endearing simplicity and emotional depth. With a pure and true vocal, complementing a solid base of undeniably roots music composition, Emily engages the listener. She has been singing festivals, clubs and coffee houses for years and is now known as an established singer songwriter.
“(Emily) is an artist sitting comfortably between the borders of rock, country, and folk.” Gillian Turnbull
After 20 years together, Juno nominated singer-songwriting duo, Madison Violet, are as much wanderers as they are musicians. It is a career filled with endless roads stretching into the horizon, winding through changing landscapes, each kilometer traveled carrying with it the promise of inspiration. Perhaps that is the secret of what has made Madison Violet such an enduring band. Because with each new town, each new venue, their curiosity grows, their love of music deepens, their desire to push musical boundaries expands.
In 2019, Madison Violet released their latest album “Everything’s Shifting”. The album is a heartfelt examination of how memory can splinter a heart, how loss shapes perspective and how sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can’t have love without regret. It is an album to be listened to on the open road, with the windows rolled down: a love letter to their fans, from two wanderers who continue to follow the melodies wherever they lead.

Irish Mythen was born in Ireland and now resides in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island. “This Island creates music and musicians, art and artists. I found a shift to take things more seriously when I moved here.” And she did just that.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Leeroy Stagger is an award-winning singer-songwriter and Producer. He first cut his teeth as a musician singing with punk rock bands in B.C., before making his mark on the Canadian independent music scene at the turn of this century, and then evolving into an Alberta-based singer-songwriter and producer with his own home-studio
Stagger, who demonstrates many similarities to another Canadian icon, the legendary Neil Young, has toured the world, both on his own and with the likes of Steve Earle, Pixies, Modest Mouse and Evan Dando. Among his achievements are winning 102.7 The Peak’s highly competitive Performance Project in 2015, working with legendary U.S. industry mogul Danny Goldberg, and having his songs appear in such television shows as Grey’s Anatomy and Sons Of Anarchy.
Now with years of experience to draw on, Leeroy Stagger pens songs dealing with life’s challenges and questions that are literate but down to earth; thirteen albums to his credit attest to that.
