Our club is operated by a not for profit society and is registered in the Province of Alberta, Canada. The society’s primary objective is to provide an opportunity for the Calgary and surrounding communities to attend a series of quality live musical concerts, in a friendly participatory environment, together with related cultural, intellectual and social activities. All of this at relatively affordable prices when compared to larger concert venues. We feel that our venue is somewhat unique for both our audiences and performers and offers an excellent chance to see quality live music. Likewise, we offer the performing artists perform before an appreciative audience, who listen!

Our current season features 10 concerts featuring a variety of artists. We also offer a season subscription ticket package. We have individual show tickets available. Please check Tickets for more information on these.

Our telephone HOTLINE at 403-287-2299 is available for upcoming concert information. Our E-mail address is: [email protected]

All concerts are held at the Strathcona Community Centre, 277 Strathcona Drive S.W., Calgary, Alberta, Canada. All shows start at 7:50 PM.

We are sensitive to our audiences preferences and hence provide a non-smoking concert environment.

The fact that the club is entirely staffed and managed by volunteers only adds to the value passed on to the Calgary community. Click here for info about volunteering with us.

We are also the proud supporter of several community initiatives that benefit the Calgary and Alberta music scene.

For several years we have been fundraising for upcoming Alberta artists to attend Folk Alliance International, where we proudly host two ‘Alberta Rooms’ that showcase our talented artists.

You can help these artists(and get some great Alberta Music!) by purchasing the most recent compilation CD ‘Look Out Kansas City’ on GoToAGig.com

We bring several extra concerts a year into the Calgary community, usually held at the Ironwood Stage and Grill. This may occur when our club has a very popular sold out artist or as a fundraising concert featuring our Alberta artists.

We even sponsor the Spaghetti Western Festival, held in downtown Calgary.

The Bow Valley Music Club just plain loves music!
