Tom Russell

Tom Russell is an award-winning American songwriter, painter, storyteller, journalist, and author possessed of a keen eye and a robust, grainy baritone voice. Having released more than three dozen albums on a variety of labels, he is regarded by peers and fans alike as part of an American cultural and literary lineage that extends from the golden era of cowboy and folk traditions to the romantic yet hard-bitten Americana of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan; from Townes Van Zandt to the poetry and prose of writers such as Raymond Chandler, William Faulkner and Charles Bukowski.

Russell has spent decades rambling across the United States and Europe. His songs have been recorded by musical legends including Johnny Cash, Doug Sahm, Nanci Griffith, k.d. lang, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Iris DeMent, Dave Van Ronk, Joe Ely, Tom Paxton, and Ian Tyson.

“How great is Tom Russell? Isn’t he the best? I’d like to quit my job and travel with him…if the money can be worked out…” David Letterman, Late Night with David Letterman

Allan & Arnell (opening)

Lance Arnell can play a sweet melody & sing a tune full of deep memories, wishes & dreams. He has spent his life around horses, homesteads & trails. Music for him has been a refuge from the demands of a physical life & he puts all those memories into the music he plays.

From a childhood on a Saskatchewan farm, singing with her family in the choir, years of classical piano lessons from a variety of teachers & then discovering her sister’s guitar in high school, Jane Allan has always had music in her life.  From there it was a simple transition to merge with her love of the prairies & the rural way of life.

Jane and Lance, Allan & Arnell, have become partners in a musical journey. They are accomplished musicians who love to play, love their instruments & would love for you to sit & enjoy their music.
